When we say Nick & Tana’s wedding was a full-on experience, we mean it. These two brought 175 of their favorite people to Kapok Special Events in Clearwater, Florida, for a weekend overflowing with elegance, emotion, and just the right amount of party. From classic piano notes floating through the ceremony to Red Bull Vodkas keeping the dance floor alive, every detail was uniquely them.

The Calm Before the Party

Festivities kicked off on Friday with a relaxed rehearsal at Kapok’s lush grounds. We walked through every step — from the first look to the final kiss — making sure the whole crew (and yes, even the flower girl and ring bearer) felt like total pros. The ever-lovely Elida from A Beautiful Wedding in Florida led the ceremony practice like the seasoned officiant she is, and by the time sunset rolled around, everyone was ready for showtime.

Glam, Garlands & Getting Ready

Saturday morning began upstairs in the bridal suite, where Tana and her favorite ladies were pampered by Jackie Riley Makeup, Sky Rae, and Nikki for hair and makeup. Meanwhile, the guys gathered at home, then headed to Kapok to suit up and share a few pre-wedding laughs.

Our team — Rylee, Olivia, Michael and Crysta — got to work setting up personalized décor touches: sparkling crystal dishes, gold gem trees, and Godiva favors (yes, please). Hassell Florist arrived right on cue with stunning florals for the ceremony arch, head table garlands, and cake accents that looked good enough to eat. (Don’t worry — we didn’t. But the Publix coconut cake? Gone in minutes.)

Ceremony with a Celestial Twist

Guests arrived to the soothing sound of Marc Bosserman’s live piano, playing everything from Adele to Queen. As they took their seats beneath twinkling Christmas trees, DJ Jason White announced an “unplugged” ceremony — a perfect way to keep the focus on the vows (and prevent any mid-aisle iPad moments).

Tana walked in to Florence and the Machine’s “Stand by Me,” escorted by her brother, James — and we won’t lie, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Elida officiated a heartfelt ceremony, and just as they shared their first kiss, the sun dipped low in the sky, setting the stage for a one-of-a-kind planetary alignment. Seriously — Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus all showed up.

Cocktails & Caprese

Guests flowed into the Regency Lounge for cocktail hour, complete with a signature Hot Toddy bar (yes, cinnamon sticks and all) and Nick & Tana’s must-have: Red Bull Vodkas. Lucky Dill served up delicious bites like Caprese skewers, mini beef Wellingtons, and chicken satay, while Marc kept the piano vibes going strong.

Reception Revelry

The Grand Ballroom revealed its magic as guests entered to the sounds of “White Wedding” — fitting, right? The wedding party made their grand entrance, followed by Nick and Tana, officially announced as Mr. and Mrs. Bollea (pro tip: it’s pronounced “bo-LAY-uh”).

Their first dance to “Grow Old With You” (yes, with the Billy Idol intro from The Wedding Singer) was equal parts sweet and hilarious — just like them. A buffet dinner by Lucky Dill followed, featuring herb-crusted chicken, carved prime rib, and veggie primavera. The desserts? Coconut cake, pecan pie, cheesecake, and wedding cookies. No one left hungry.

Dancing, Desserts & Dutchie

Toasts were heartfelt, cake cutting was to The Eagles’ “One of These Nights,” and once the dance floor opened — it stayed packed. DJ Jason knew exactly how to read the room (and thankfully, skipped the cringe requests).

We capped the night with a magical sparkler send-off under the Florida stars, and Nick & Tana took one last spin at the DJ booth, jamming out to “Pass the Dutchie” like the party legends they are.
